After more than two years of research, preparation and testing, the first version of My Favourite Planet was published in 2008. The project continues on from the galleries of photos and information about various places which first appeared from 2003 on the davidjohnberlin website.

Since then over 1200 pages of travel guides, articles, poems and blogs, illustrated with photos, drawings and maps have been published online. The website currently receives over 5 million hits per year.
